Spring-Applied Electromagnetic Brake
The Spring-Applied Electromagnetic Brake has proven itself across a wide range of industrial applications. Designed for DC operation, it can also be used with an AC single-phase supply when fitted with an integral rectifier.
Braking is achieved through spring pressure, while brake release is controlled by the electromagnetic field. This design ensures the brake remains fail safe, providing reliable operation even in the event of power failure.

The brake design allows easy modification to meet specific requirements, including: tacho drive integration, flame or explosion-proof protection for mine duties, and increased corrosion resistance. A micro switch can also be fitted to monitor and control brake operation.
