ð Advanced Soft Starting Technology
The Premium Pembril PSS Fluid Coupling is an advanced Constant Fill Fluid Coupling designed for fixed-speed motors where extremely light-load starting, smooth acceleration and overload protection are required.
By allowing the motor to quickly reach operating speed, the fluid coupling allows the motor's overload capacity to assist in starting the driven machine, often making it possible to select a smaller motor.
â How The PSS System Works
During starting, the delayed chamber removes approximately 30-40% of the oil from the main circuit, reducing transmitted torque.
As the motor reaches full speed, retained oil returns to the main circuit.
Oil flow can be adjusted externally through interchangeable nozzles to achieve the required acceleration characteristics.
